Great writeup in Keys Free Press about our recent Florida Bay Crossing

We had a great adventure back in May. One evening, Seychelle told me that she and Joe were planning to go to Flamingo tomorrow and asked me where they should start from. After looking at the weather, the winds looked perfect for a Florida Bay Crossing leaving out right here from PADDLE the Florida Keys, and furthermore I wanted to join them. We met at 5:30 am to begin our adventure. 25+ tailwinds made our journey very delightful. We surfed for 18 miles! Lots of fun waves to catch through Florida Bay. We stopped for lunch at End Key and then made our way towards the Shark Point Chickee which is an elevated camping site constructed by the National Park. We hung out there for an hour and then completed the journey. Total mileage 28 mi. We arrived in the Flamingo parking lot at 3pm. Check out our great writeup in the Free Press!
